Pathway to Engineering ~ High School Engineering Program
Project Lead the Way has many pathways that students can take. The pathway that I teach is the Introduction to Engineering Design. In this course students are required to learn how to take notes and think like an engineer. Students will get the chance to use AutoDesk Inventor, which is a software designed for creating images on the computer. There will be many notes of useful information, in fact the same information that engineering students in college learn that students will have to take. Along with the information sharing, students will get a chance to complete projects and make presentations about the things that they have learned. At the end of the year, all PLTW students will take an end of course examination, and they will have a chance to earn college credit to many different schools across the United States that participate with PLTW, if they decide to pursue a degree in engineering.
